Internal Affairs Commissioner Patrick Brooks

The general purpose of the Department of Internal Affairs shall be to assist the SGA Vice-President and Speaker of the Senate in carrying out their duties, review and recommend changes in the SGA Constitution and By-laws as needed, provide revised Senate rules that will govern all Student Government Association meetings for the semester at the first meeting of each semester.  To assure that all Senators are following the Senate rules and promptly follow proper action should a Senator not follow those rules and to perform any other pertinent services not mentioned herein.

Committees:

• Election Board - the purpsoe shall be to conduct all elections.

• Legislation -  shall investigate the progress of passed written legislation from previous SGA meetings and assure that action is being taken upon said legislation.

• Class Council Advisory - shall serve to aid the Class Council of  Freshmen Representatives in all endeavors and offer advice to those participants and to perform any other pertinent services not mentioned herein.

• Committee for Tracking University Committee Attendance - shall keep a record of  SGA appointed student member attendance at university committee meetings.
