Academic Affairs Commissioner Josh Russell

The general purpose of the Department of Academic Affairs shall be to work with the University Vice-President of Academic Affairs in areas concerning the core curriculum, instructor/course evaluations, academic advising, registration, or other pertinent areas not mentioned herein, to provide SGA representation on all available University Academic Committees and to perform any other pertinent services.

Committees:

• Lecture Series -shall serve to work with the Distinguished Lecturer Series Committee when that Committee has accumulated enough funds to begin the selection of a guest lecturer

  • Committee Head - Bryan Johnson

• Educational Programming - shall serve to offer student demanded academic subjects and perform any other pertinent services not mentioned herein.

• Evaluation - shall serve to improve professor evaluations and perform any other pertinent services not mentioned herein.

• Leisure Series - shall serve to offer leisure activities for the students and perform any other pertinent services not mentioned herein.

• RU Ready - shall serve to encourage high school students to go to college by visiting and presenting at local high schools. The committee needs to visit and give presentations at least once per academic year.
